Earth Science: An Introduction to Geology Display Set

This set of twelve, 6" x 5", fully-labeled exhibit cases is the perfect reference for introducing students to Earth Science. The twelve displays come housed in a convenient 12" x 11" x 4" storage box and cover the spectrum of geological study.

Metals includes 6 metals and their common ores (Aluminum and Bauxite, Chrome and Chromite, Copper and Chalcopyrite, Iron and Hematite, Lead and Galena, Titanium and ilmenite). Household lists everyday, household applications for (Halite, Graphite, Feldspar, Pumice, Talc, Kaolin). Construction lists common applications for (Granite, Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Gypsum, Mica).

Exhibits 7-9 feature Rock and Soil Groups. Rock-forming Mineral Groups shows the common building-blocks of rock formations (Amphibole, Quartz, Mica, Feldspar, Calcite, Pyrite, Magnetite, Talc). Silicates describes the sub-classes of this large group (Neosilicates, Sorosilicates, Cyclosilicates, Inosilicates, Phyllosilicates, Tectosilicates). Soil Types shows the five building-blocks of soil (Clay, Sand, Gravel, Loam, Organic).
