Larval Insect Comparison Display

Ten different orders of the class Insecta are represented in this 6" x 8" exhibit by their larval stages. While some larval stages look like miniature, wingless versions of the adult (such as the Mantids and Grasshoppers), others show striking, metamorphic changes during their development (such as the Bees, Flies and Beetles).  This set offers a wide variety of specimens for all levels of study from simply observing and identifying the larval insects around you, to basic studies of Ecology, or more advanced Entomology and Animal Development.
