It’s fun, and sometimes breathtaking, to observe the brilliance of a butterfly’s wings with their varied colors and patterns, but did you know they also play a crucial role in a butterfly's survival, behavior, and ecological interactions? We are excited to share our Brilliant Butterflies Activity Kit with its hands-on activities designed to teach children about the importance of a butterfly’s wing color and patterns!
We learn that there are many different ways that a butterfly’s wing color and pattern are useful to their existence! For example, they may serve as camouflage so the butterfly blends in with their surroundings, or they may help regulate their body temperature!
Each child gets to make THREE butterflies, decorating each in their own unique way!
Nature Watch Kits include everything you need to get started with the project; you simply provide either water colors, washable markers, or food coloring to decorate the butterfly wings. The kit also includes an activity guide loaded with educational content for the instructor to share with children.
